About Kim Schneider Malek

Kim Schneider Malek helps family, enterprise, and individuals advance their goals for continuity, succession, governance, entrepreneurship, group unity, experiential education, and AWepreneurshipSM.   An international transition consultant, speaker, facilitator, and experiential educator, Kim has served or taught clients, students, associations, peer groups, and advisory firms from over 50 countries including England, Belgium, Poland, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Japan, China, Israel, and countries throughout the Middle East.


The 2014 recipient of the Family Firm Institute’s Barbara Hollander Achievement Award for global leadership and educational contribution to the field, Kim is the founder of Family Enterprise Alliance, LLC and Kischma Consulting. She serves on the faculty of the Family Firm Institute’s Global Education Network teaching the family enterprise consulting process and has been an adjunct professor in the graduate degree programs at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business since 2001.


A professional member of the National Speakers Association, Kim frequently speaks internationally on family, enterprise succession, governance, leadership, and related topics at conferences.  Kim is second-generation in her family business and is married to active entrepreneur and community leader, Charles Malek.  They live in Denver, Colorado with their tween daughter, twin sons, and giddy Golden Retriever, Maggy MicPickles.  They were the medical foster parents to Akewak Wondimu, a young Ethiopian who was a miracle beneficiary of 2007 CNN Hero runner up, Dr. Rick Hodes. In her available time, Kim enjoys skiing, family travel, entertaining, and messy experiments in the kitchen.
