About Kristin Stewart
Kristin Stewart has been a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State since 2002. She specializes in Public Affairs, Cultural and Media work. In this role she has coordinated various aspects of education, media and outreach programs in several U.S. Embassies abroad including Mexico City (2004-2006), Managua, Nicaragua (2006-2009), and Dakar, Senegal (2009-2013). Her next assignment will be as Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Panama City.
Kristin previously served as a Consular Officer in Bogota, Colombia from 2002-2004. She was a study abroad advisor at the University of Michigan before joining the State Department. She obtained her Master of Public Policy (Ford School MPP 2002) from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and her Bachelor in Foreign Service from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service (SFS '99).
Kristin was born and raised in Colorado, and is a graduate of Elizabeth High School, where she was the co-valedictorian.
