WorldDenver is the local host organization for international visitors sponsored by the International Visitor Leadership Program. WorldDenver also administers fee-for-service programs, designing unique programs carefully tailored to deliver program sponsor and participant objectives. Clients include the Institute of International Education, Meridian International Center, the US-Russia Foundation, the Open World Leadership Center, the US Embassy in Belgium, FHI 360, WorldLearning, and the America for Bulgaria Foundation. WorldDenver is a member in good standing of Global Ties US and meets all of Global Ties US' compliance requirements and organizational standards.

Recent Programs

Young Leaders of the Americas

President Obama launched the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) to connect and empower young leaders across the hemisphere by providing them with the tools, networks, and resources they need to transform their societies and contribute more fully to economic development and prosperity, security, human rights, and good governance. 

WorldDenver partnered in the implementation of YLAI in Spring 2016 by hosting 6 participants from Latin America and the Caribbean. The program highlighted entrepreneurship and innovation in technology; one of the participants even introduced President Obama at a Town Hall meeting in Buenos Aires in March!

WorldDenver is partnering with Meridian International Center to host 14 more YLAI fellows in Denver October 8 - November 7, 2016.


Bulgarian Junior Justice Professionals

Since 2011, WorldDenver has worked in collaboration with the America for Bulgaria Foundation and the Institute for International Education (IIE) to implement a training program for judicial professionals from Bulgaria. For six days in June 2016, twenty-one participants and two interpreters from the Bulgarian Young Leaders Program-Junior Justice Professionals Training Program visited Denver to learn about the importance of transparency and accessibility within the court system, the need for educating the public about how the court functions, and the preservation of judges’ integrity and courts’ independence.


Open World Program with Kyrgyzstan

In June 2015, five Kyrgyz leaders participated in a program implemented by WorldDenver that examined "Accountable Governance: Alternative Energy/Water & Hydropower in Colorado."  While in Denver, they met with local professionals involved in similar lines of work to exchange ideas and strategies about water management and renewable energy generation.


Russian Business Leaders

This exchange program is for young business professionals from Russia who are committed to driving economic development through leadership and sound business practices. The goals of the program are: to create partnerships between companies in the US and Russia; to strengthen understanding of the US policies and practices related to business, innovation, and entrepreneurship; afford promising yound professionals from Russia the opportunity to gain practical experience in, and exposure to, US business polices and practices; and sharpen leadership and technical skills of Russian business leaders. WorldDenver hosted 4 professionals through this program in May and June 2016.


African Fellows from Zambia and Zimbabwe

Through the Business Entrepreneurship and Exchange Program, exceptional entrepreneurs from Africa, visited Denver in May and October 2014 to participate in day-to-day operations of American Institutions and professional interactions with American peers. Skill development workshops were integrated into the US experience to develop the core competencies of the emerging business leaders. Participants formulated action plans based on what they learned, to bring positive change to their communities.
