International Visitor Programs
“I strongly believe that we need to share more, exchange more, if for no other reason, than to carve out opportunities to see and understand that as different as we seem as people, there is more that connects us than divides us.”
IVLP Participant, “Women in Entrepreneurship”
WorldDenver, as part of the Global Ties U.S. network, annually welcomes over 600 international visitors from more than 100 countries under the sponsorship of the U.S. Department of State and other clients. Our mission is to build connections that bridge cultural divides, shatter stereotypes, and contribute to a more peaceful and prosperous world.
We provide customized professional agendas for international visitors, spanning from a few days to a month. We connect our clients with local experts, organizations, and government agencies while managing all logistical arrangements, including cultural excursions.
International Visitor Leadership Program
The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience this country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts.
Visitors are nominated by U.S. embassies around the globe and come to Denver to meet their industry peers, share best practices, and better empower themselves and their communities. Denverites and international visitors are able to connect and share ideas through these professional meetings, cultural activities, and attending dinners hosted in community members’ homes. Professional Fellowships
The U.S. Department of State works closely with embassies around the world to carefully choose exceptional professionals who will have the opportunity to visit the United States and meet with counterparts to discuss best practices and innovations.
WorldDenver collaborates with local businesses to provide international Fellows with the chance to work alongside their American counterparts, gain valuable knowledge about best practices, and establish professional networks. Host organizations can benefit from the professional experience of the hosted Fellows while expanding their international reach and cultural competency, all at no cost to their organization.

Youth Programs
WorldDenver offers youth exchange programs to high school students from countries around the world. The selection process is highly competitive, and the selected students participate in exchanges to the United States. They meet in Washington, D.C. for their program orientation and learn about American government, and then travel to a host city for one to two weeks.
WorldDenver manages all logistics related to the program, including homestay hosting, meetings with community leaders, volunteering, interaction with American peers, leadership development, and cultural experiences.
