Our WorldDinners program is a unique opportunity for you to show off what an American home-cooked meal truly looks like. Each dinner is a chance for our foreign guests to learn about the culture and customs of the US, and you get to travel the world without leaving home.

Dinner hosts from a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply - one of the goals of WorldDinners is to illustrate the diversity of American lifestyles. Please note that the priority for hosting international visitors is given to WorldDenver members.

How does it work?

  1. Check the WorldDenver newsletter. The newsletter provides information about all of WorldDenver's upcoming visitor groups, including the program topics and which countries the visitors are from.

  2. Sign up by emailing [email protected]. Please note in your email whether or not you can provide transportation for the visitors to and from their hotel.

  3. Welcome a small group of international visitors into your home for an evening meal! Dinners can be as simple as a pizza party with several neighbors or as elaborate as a themed dinner.

  4. Tell your friends about your experiences. The goal of our visitor programs is to create linkages across countries and cultures. If you had fun, your friends will too!

If you don't feel like you have the space to host a dinner but are still able to provide transportation or prepare a meal for the visitors, you can apply to be a co-host!

"We really look forward to these evenings.  We learn so much about other countries and what our guests think about the U.S…this really is the next best thing to travel in terms of learning about the rest of the world.” –Margot Wynkoop, WorldDenver Member
