World Affairs Challenge
Step 5: Presentation and Evaluation
Timeframe: 1-2 weeks
STEP 5: Presentation and Evaluation
Lights, Camera, Action! Time to present your project in video form.
Now you get to put all of your work into a presentation to be reviewed by the judges at the World Affairs Challenge. This presentation can be as fun and creative, or serious and formal as you want it to be – creativity is highly encouraged! Last step before the Global Championship: record and submit your formal presentation video to the WAC!
In Step 5:
Click the items listed below and complete each one!
- Review example videos from previous years
- Plan and create your video presentation - Use the WAC Rubric to make sure you include all elements that you will be scored on
- Submit your video to WAC
- Meet with project evaluators called "Judges" in a live video call for a Question + Answer session
- Join the Global Championship on March 28 to meet WAC students all over the world, participate in the Collaborative Question experience, and see which teams have won this year's World Affairs Challenge!
Take a look at several top presentations from 2024 and 2025 to get your ideas flowing!
Past Projects: Middle + High School
Now it's your turn to plan and film your video!
Make sure to leave enough time to plan, film, and revise! Your video is due 4 days before your scheduled Q&A with the judges, and no late videos will be accepted.
- Every team member should have a role, either in front of the camera or behind!
- Remember that creativity is highly encouraged!
- Download the WAC Rubric to make sure you have included everything the judges will be looking for ------>
- Practice!! The more comfortable you are with your part, the better it will be and the more fun you will have.
- Record your video - keep it under ten minutes!
- Be sure everyone can be seen and clearly heard, and that your visuals are large enough to see/read easily in the video. Subtitles help your audience clearly understand your presentation. Check subtitles for spelling and grammar to be sure your meaning is interpreted correctly.
Next, submit your video to the WAC team 4 days before your scheduled Q&A with the judges.
Please make sure that you upload your video to the shared Google folder using the button below – you will need to update the sharing permissions on the video to include WAC@worlddenver.org as an editor.
